How to use our technical help guide
Firstly select your machine type from the category below and then simply find the problem you are experiencing from the list of symptoms (highlighted in red), you will then find the possible cause of the problem (highlighted in blue). After each list of symptoms you will find a list of the faults along with help and recommended remedial action.
Cookers and Hobs (Electric)
- Oven not heating - Heating Element fault, Thermostat fault
- Hotplate not heating - Heating Zone/Element fault, Hotplate Control Switch fault
- Not regulating hotplate temperature - Hotplate Control Switch fault
- Temperature inaccurate - Thermostat fault, see Door not closing properly

How to check electrical components
Most components on kitchen appliances can be checked for basic electrical continuity (open/closed circuit) using an ohmmeter. Remember any work carried out on a kitchen appliance should be done so with the electrical supply disconnected.
